Put radon on your radar.

Radon presents a significant second risk factor for lung cancer, and joins smoking among the preventable causes of the disease. In addition to assisting patients to stop smoking, you can encourage patients to test for radon levels in their homes.

The simplest way to begin a conversation about the radon level in patients’ homes is to include a question on patient history forms, such as:
“Have you had your home tested for radon?”
