Renown Health X-ray & Imaging provides 3D mammography, ultrasound, CAT Scan and bone density exams. The center is currently accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated lung cancer screening center, mammography, ultrasound and CT.  The program is also accredited by the American College of Surgeons by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). This program provides patients with evidence based multidisciplinary care.

Renown Institute for Cancer is Nevada’s only program offering Comprehensive Cancer Program (ACoS CoC), Breast Cancer (NAPBC) and Radiation Oncology (ACR-RO) accreditations.

Renown Institute for Cancer is Nevada’s only program offering Comprehensive Cancer Program (ACoS CoC), Breast Cancer (NAPBC) and Radiation Oncology (ACR-RO) accreditations. Patient resources include the Sally de Lipkau Cancer Resource Center featuring wigs, head coverings, and support groups; a dedicated Cancer Concierge; nurse navigators; palliative care and survivorship support. Screenings for: breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and gynecologic cancers.

Support Groups include:

  • Cancer Support Group (patients and families)
  • Caregiver Support Group
  • Look Good...Feel Better (a partnership with American Cancer Society)
  • Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group
  • ThyCa - Thyroid Cancer Support Group

Can't remember the last time you had a mammogram?

Renown can help you stay up-to-date on your breast health. An annual mammogram is the most efficient screening method to detect early breast cancer and a vital step in taking care of yourself. Do not delay a mammogram because of the cost. 

We understand scheduling your yearly exam may be a financial strain, that's why Renown Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with Susan G. Komen Nevada, may be able to assist you with paying your mammogram. If you, or anyone you know, may benefit from our uninsured (or under insured) program please reach out to us. 

Transportation services are also available upon request.

Revivials is a community-based organization that provides information, resources, and financial support to breast cancer survivors to enhance their well-being.

Revivials is a community-based organization that provides information, resources, and financial support to breast cancer survivors to enhance their well-being. The organization produces an annual breast cancer survivors luncheon to comfort and celebrate survivors, and provides support during health screening, treatment and recovery with wigs, caps, scarves, pillows, mastectomy products, financial assistance, and referrals for professional bra fittings, to name a few.

Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer is accredited as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and features the latest technology available in the region’s newest, most-comfortable facility. Designed for the comfort and convenience of patients, the 15,000-square-foot Center for Cancer is located in Saint Mary’s Center for Health, immediately adjacent to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer is accredited from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), becoming the first accredited breast program in the state of Nevada. The program provides patients with a top-notch program from screening to diagnosis, and throughout treatment to survivorship. Breast Nurse Navigators offer assistance to patients throughout the process. The center features a variety of support groups and an American Cancer Society Resource Center, along with research and clinical trials, outpatient nutrition and more. Support Groups and programs include: On With Life Breast Cancer Support Group General Cancer Support Group Empower Your Journey, a 4-part survivorship program series covering physical health and wellness, nutrition and your diet, spiritual and mental wellness, and symptom and side effect management. Each session is 1.5 hours and sessions are offered once a month and cycle through each topic. Sessions are open to all cancer patients and are led by a team of physicians, certified oncology nurses, research nurses, and social workers. Call 775-770-7414 for details.

Sharsheret, Hebrew for “chain”, is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 2001 supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast cancer.

Sharsheret, Hebrew for “chain”, is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 2001 supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast cancer. Their mission is to offer a community of support to women diagnosed with breast cancer or at increased genetic risk, by fostering culturally-relevant individualized connections with networks of peers, health professionals, and related resources. Sharsheret supports young Jewish women and families facing breast cancer at every stage—before, during, and after diagnosis.  They help women and families connect to the community in the way that feels most comfortable, taking into consideration their stage of life, diagnosis, or treatment, as well as their connection to Judaism.  Sharsheret also provides educational resources, offers specialized support to those facing ovarian cancer or at high risk of developing cancer, and creates programs for women and families to improve their quality of life.  All Sharsheret’s programs are open to all women and men.

Sisters Network® Inc. addresses the breast health needs of African American women, through its affiliate chapters, and partnerships with existing service providers. Chapters are organized by breast cancer survivors who are committed to establishing the much needed community breast health services. Programs include: Breast Cancer Assistance Program providing financial assistance for mammography and other breast cancer related expenses; The Young Sisters Initiative, a program to provide information and support to women with breast cancer diagnosed at age 45 or younger.
