The Nevada Colon Cancer Screening Program provides free colon cancer screening with a FIT test home screening kit to eligible Nevadans. This screening is available for those who are uninsured or underinsured and can not get this service free through their health insurance or are legally ineligible for health insurance. Must be between 50 and 64 years of age, have no colon cancer symptoms, and must meet income guidelines.

Northern Nevada HOPES is a patient-centered medical home offering a variety of services in a clinic setting, including women's health exams such as Pap test and clinical breast exams, as well as other types of cancer screening. Wellness and nutrition counseling as well as chronic disease management is also available. The Breast Health Clinic also offers breast health services for uninusured women ages 40 - 49 thanks to a generous donation from Northern Nevada Komen Foundation. Services including breast exams, breast cancer risk education and mammograms. The case management staff can also assist with determining eligibility for Medicaid or other insurance through Nevada Health Link.

Nurse Navigators are your personal guides for cancer support. They are experienced registered nurses committed to helping you in your journey by:

  • Explaining the cancer diagnosis and treatment process
  • Assisting with access to screening and treatment procedures
  • Providing treatment resources and educational materials
  • Clarifying physician recommendations for treatment
  • Providing access to clinical trial information
  • Recommending community resources including support groups and complementary therapies

No fee or referral is needed.

Renown Institute for Cancer is Nevada’s only program offering Comprehensive Cancer Program (ACoS CoC), Breast Cancer (NAPBC) and Radiation Oncology (ACR-RO) accreditations.

Renown Institute for Cancer is Nevada’s only program offering Comprehensive Cancer Program (ACoS CoC), Breast Cancer (NAPBC) and Radiation Oncology (ACR-RO) accreditations. Patient resources include the Sally de Lipkau Cancer Resource Center featuring wigs, head coverings, and support groups; a dedicated Cancer Concierge; nurse navigators; palliative care and survivorship support. Screenings for: breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and gynecologic cancers.

Support Groups include:

  • Caregiver Support Group
  • Look Good...Feel Better (a partnership with American Cancer Society)
  • Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group
