Join our team: Health Systems Representative

When people come together and work toward a common cause, great things can happen! Nevada Cancer Coalition (NCC) is just that—partners working together to improve the health of Nevadans by reducing the burden of cancer in our communities.

The Health Systems Representative is a new part of the NCC team who will fill a critical role within our lung cancer screening project. For this new position, we are looking for a team player and self-starter with high professionalism and experience in a clinical setting.

ABOUT US: NCC is a statewide non-profit organization and Nevada’s leading resource for comprehensive cancer control. We support healthcare professionals with resources and education, collaborate with partners to develop evidence-based projects and programs, provide outreach for and access to cancer screening and prevention resources, and advocate for policies to improve access to healthcare for all. We are passionate and focused on results, but we know how to inject much joy into our workday.

ABOUT YOU: The Health Systems Representative develops relationships with primary health care and lung screening partners to provide technical assistance and physician detailing to improve lung cancer screening rates. You aren’t afraid to make cold calls, don’t get intimidated by doctors, and enjoy educating others to improve the quality of care. You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be adept at building collaborative professional relationships, be a whiz at organization and time management, and work well both independently with minimal supervision and with the NCC team and other community partners.

The ideal team member will have a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, public health, communications, public relations, marketing, education, or related professional experience; have experience in a clinical setting; be willing to travel extensively throughout Nevada and occasionally outside the state; a driver’s license; willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Full-time, salary position at $65,000 to $70,000+/year DOE
  • Benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance and Simple IRA retirement plan
  • Generous paid time off including time to volunteer for your other favorite nonprofits
  • A culture that supports early morning runners, lunchtime gym-goers, yoga, office walks and working parents

To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, and 2-3 professional references to Michelle Lambert at Michelle@NevadaCancerCoalition.org.

If you'd like to support NCC's work, please also consider becoming a volunteer or participating on one of our task forces or collaboratives.
