Pediatric & AYA Cancer Collaborative

Pediatric & Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Collaborative

Cancer Plan Goal: Improve access to quality care and supportive resources for individuals and families impacted by cancer among children, adolescents, and young adults.

The Nevada Pediatric and Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Collaborative was launched following the success of a work group that came together to draft a special section for the 2026-2030 Nevada Cancer Plan. Partners, including community organizations, healthcare professionals, survivors, and advocates meet quarterly to improve care and outcomes for Nevada’s youngest cancer patients.

Among the collaborative's priorities are supporting policies to attract and retain pediatric healthcare providers, including sub-specialists, improving supportive services for pediatric and AYA survivors and their families, and increasing availability of data for pediatric and AYA cancers in Nevada.

Meetings are hybrid, with in-person locations in Reno and Las Vegas along with a Zoom option.

Staff Lead: Kristen Hackbarth, Communications Director
