Presented by the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship:

Dr. Michelle Mollica will share NCI’s recent efforts focused on understanding and addressing the survivorship needs for the growing population of survivors who are living with advanced and metastatic cancers. Bethany Ross, CPAT Steering Committee Member and Advocate, will join the discussion. She was diagnosed in August 2018 at age 30 with stage IV neuroendocrine cancer.

Why it Matters: Learn about state of the science and the research gaps focused on survivorship needs. The key opportunities for research to improve quality care are the following:

  • Defining the population
  • Symptom management
  • Psychosocial support
  • Healthcare delivery
  • Health behaviors

Dr. Mollica will share NCI's next steps in conducting research that supports those living with advanced and metastatic cancers.
