2023 Summit packed with learning, networking
08 August, 2023
The one-day Nevada Cancer Control Summit, now just a few weeks away, brings together continuing education and industry sessions, networking, exhibits, and the Nevada Cancer Coalition's annual awards. We consider it the cancer control event of the year. Many of our past attendees agree,
This year's Summit boasts a variety of topics spanning the cancer spectrum. Attendees can hear from partners in the field what works -- and perhaps what doesn't -- in clinical and community interventions for prevention and early detection. This lightning round session is the first of what we hope will be many more.
We'll also feature oncologists sharing the latest in urologic and lung cancer treatments, along with non-CE industry sessions on HER2 metastatic breast cancer and CAR-T cell therapy.
Survivorship and quality of life are also on the agenda, with talks on nutrition and food myths providers can address, long-term care for AYA survivors, and using a trauma-informed approach to mental and emotional health.
Many partners across the state have also worked to improve health equity across the healthcare landscape. We'll have a session on ensuring equity for rural patients and equity and diversity issues in breast cancer.
Registration for the Summit is available online here or on-site. Costs to register include light breakfast, lunch, continuing education credits, and a Summit tote sponsored by Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada and packed with goodies. Early bird pricing is $105 through Aug. 28, and $130 through Sept. 8 online. Registration on-site is $130.
