Colon Tour 2026: Northern Nevada HOPES

Step inside a larger-than-life, inflatable colon and take a walk through colorectal health.

NCC is taking its interactive Giant Inflatable Colon on a colorectal cancer awareness tour. This unique, walk-through exhibit helps visitors see and understand the progression of colorectal cancer — from healthy tissue to polyps to advanced disease — and highlights the importance of early detection and regular screening.

Community members will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about colorectal cancer prevention and screening options

• Talk about when and how to get screened

• Pick up educational resources

• Snap fun photos inside the giant colon

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers with routine screening, yet it remains a leading cause of cancer deaths. This free, family-friendly event aims to make learning about colon health engaging, approachable and memorable.
