National Lung Cancer Screening Day

National Lung Cancer Screening Day not only raises awareness for lung cancer screening, but opens up screening facilities nationwide on a Saturday, allowing more people to get screened or removing barriers for those who can’t get screened during regular business hours.

Here are details on this year's National Lung Cancer Screening Day sites:

Open 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at 3730 South Eastern Ave., Las Vegas
Referrals are scheduled through Dr. Mehta and the Lung Team.
 

Open 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 118 E. Haskell St, Winnemucca
To schedule call 775-623-5222 ext 1130. The patient must have an order from their provider.

Open 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 5465 Reno Corporate Drive. Suite 200, Reno
all Jennefer at 775-325-6184 to schedule.

Open 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at 1500 E. Second Street, Reno
Individuals who would like to participate should contact their primary care provider for a referral to the Renown Lung Cancer Screening Program. Once that referral is placed, then the interested individual can call the Renown Outbound team at 775-982-2052 to schedule their Shared Decision Making Visit. At that visit, the risks and benefits of lung cancer screening will be discussed and the order for the imaging will be provided.

To schedule an appointment, call the Sunrise centralized scheduling number at 855-445-2246. Additionally, physician offices have the direct fax number to fax a referral.
