Obesity is associated with increased risk of numerous cancer types, including colon, kidney, thyroid, pancreas, gallbladder, and breast (after menopause) cancers. NCC and partners included two obesity-related goals within the recently published 2016-2020 Nevada State Cancer Plan. The goals, which focus on adults and children, focus on policies to promote physical activity and healthy living. Access the state cancer plan here.
