Early Detection: Breast Cancer

Early Detection: Breast Cancer

Cancer Plan Goal: Increase early detection of cancers to reduce late-stage diagnosis.

The Nevada Cancer Coalition’s Breast Cancer Collaborative brings together healthcare providers, advocates, survivors, and community partners dedicated to reducing the burden of breast cancer across the state. Together, we work to improve early detection, ensure equitable access to screening and treatment, and support Nevadans through every step of the cancer journey. By sharing data, expertise, and resources, the collaborative drives progress toward better outcomes and a future where breast cancer is detected early and treated effectively for all.

Paint Nevada Pink

paint nevada pink logo

Paint Nevada Pink is a statewide campaign led by the Nevada Cancer Coalition to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. Each October, communities, businesses, and organizations across Nevada join together to “go pink” — sharing life-saving information about screening and encouraging everyone to take charge of their breast health. Through events, outreach, and collaboration, Paint Nevada Pink highlights the power of community in the fight against breast cancer and celebrates the progress made when Nevadans unite for a common cause.

Nevada Women’s Health Connection

The Nevada Women’s Health Connection is a statewide program dedicated to helping women access vital health services, including breast and cervical cancer screenings. By connecting eligible women with preventive care, education, and resources, the program ensures that Nevadans have the support they need to protect their health. Through partnerships with clinics, healthcare providers, and community organizations, Nevada Women’s Health Connection empowers people to take control of their well-being and promotes early detection, better outcomes, and stronger communities. The program is funded through the CDC's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.

Nevada Breast Cancer Screening Campaigns

The Nevada Cancer Coalition’s breast cancer screening campaigns provide Nevadans with clear, accessible information about the importance of early detection. Through targeted media, engaging content, and dedicated landing pages, the campaigns connect women with resources to schedule screenings, understand risk factors, and learn how to take proactive steps for their health. By raising awareness and making it easy to access care, these campaigns aim to save lives and ensure that more Nevadans receive timely, life-saving breast cancer screenings.
