Racism was deemed a public health emergency in 2020, emphasizing the urgent need to advance inclusion, equity, and diversity. Public health practitioners are essential in fighting against bias, discrimination, and microaggressions in the workplace.
NCC has been working with medical students from University of Nevada's Las Vegas and Reno campuses for a number of years, especially when it comes to skin cancer. Medical students who are interested in dermatology are members of a student interest group that have partnered with NCC to work on the Sun Smart Nevada program.
