Nevada Hospitals Face Severe Risks From Medicaid Cuts in New Tax Law

Nevada’s hospitals are bracing for a major financial blow following the passage of a new federal tax law, often referred to as the “Big Beautiful Bill.” This legislation, championed by President Trump and Congressional Republicans, includes deep cuts to Medicaid—a move projected to strip more than $232 million in annual revenue from Nevada hospitals alone. The consequences could be devastating, especially for rural and community hospitals that rely heavily on Medicaid funding to keep their doors open.

Bras for a Cause & Reno Arch Lighting

Join Nevada Cancer Coalition, breast cancer survivors and advocates for the second annual Bras for a Cause event and Reno Arch Lighting to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This community event will feature custom-decorated bras submitted by community members and showcased in a fun (and funny) fashion show by volunteer models from UNR fraternities, along with partner booths, a food truck, music and fun. Everyone can vote for their favorite bra and winners will be crowned! 

Then we'll light the Reno Arch PINK and have a giant group photo under the arch.
